much love in this big world of ours. (Beacon staff members) feel like my parents already.

The young couple that stay at the Mission have been great with my kids. They have helped them feel safe and loved. Rita, you are very much a part of our lives now. I know I will always have a friend in you.

I would like to end this story by saying thanks to the church I attend. I love the way I feel as soon as I walk in your door. You can say God is meeting my  deepest needs.

As of November, the Beacon Rescue Mission provided shelter, personal supplies, food, and clothing through our Emergency Shelters for 387 different men, women, and children in 1998. Some adults came for one night as they traveled from one city to another, but most of the people who checked in stayed with us until they could find work and permanent housing. This often takes just a few weeks for the single men, but it sometime takes months for the women and children as they work to get their  lives straightened out.
We were also blessed in the first 11 months of this year by being able to provide, free of charge, hundreds of items of clothing from our Thrift stores as well as emergency grocery bags  for 225 people in our community.
Thanks to all of you who help us help others, in the name of our Precious Lord!
