OUR EMPLOYEE TEAM Shelter Employees Page
The Shelter is open for the people living there twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. The shelter office is open Mon-Fri, 10:00-4:00.
This is Gene Love, the Executive Director of the Beacon Rescue Mission with his granddaughter Eden.
Betty Love, Gene's Wife, Director of the Beacon Ladies Division.
Meet Gene and Betty Love. Gene and his wife started the mission over twenty years ago in their home not far from Dunn. Gene Love is the Director of the entire Beacon Rescue Ministry, including the Emergency Shelter and the Beacon Thrift Stores. Betty Love is the Director of the Ladies Division, supervising the women and children who stay at the shelter and managing the kitchen and supply rooms.
Meet Amos, Jenny and Eden Love. (Little sister Ella has also arrived...) Amos was very young when the mission was started. Now he serves as the Director of Men's Division and works with his Dad to maintain and remodel the building housing the shelter and offices and all of the thrift store buildings. Amos also has a sign company "Famous Amos Signs" that he runs to make ends meet. (working at a homeless shelter is not very lucrative). Click here for Amos' Personal Page
Jenny has to put up with Amos spending a lot of time at the Mission.
Jenny also owns The Hair Republic salon and day spa here in Dunn. (right) Amos Love with Miss Edna Bass, Jenny's mother and Eden (now 8 years old)
Scott Flemming is on Night staff. Scott is on call at night and on weekends.
Meet Joe Legotino. This year Joe has been added to our bookkeeping staff to handle the mountains of paperwork that has to be gone through to keep the Shelter running smoothly. Joe still maintains our E-bay sales as well.
Joe and Lillian Legotino.
