Any one that would like to help can volunteer or make a donation to the Beacon Rescue Mission.

We will be glad to talk with you about arranging for you or your group to come to the Shelter and volunteer or take a tour. You can reach us by calling (910) 892-5772

Many companies and their employees choose to donate through United Way.

You can request that your United Way donation be designated to Beacon Rescue Mission.

Other great ways you can help!

1. Pay-roll Deductions

One of the easiest ways to help the Beacon Rescue Mission is to request a payroll deduction. By signing up for this service, you can request any amount you choose to be withdrawn from your check on a weekly, monthly or yearly basis without ever having to worry about it again. At the end of the year you would receive a tax receipt in the amount donated to the shelter.

If you choose to sponsor just one nights lodging for one person each week, automatically, $5.00 could be deducted from your payroll check. This doesn't seem like a lot of help for someone but in the span of one year

you would have helped 52 different people with a place to stay and receive a $260.00 Tax credit!

Imagine how many needs you could help meet if you recruited some friends at work to donate through payroll deduction also. The results could add up to more than you ever dreamed.

2. Donation of personal items

We gladly accept any usable items to be donated to the Shelter. These items range from small items such as shoes, toys, books and clothing to large donations like automobiles, real-estate or insurance policies.

You never have to wonder what to do with all of that great stuff that you just don't need anymore cluttering your closets and garage - Clothing that doesn't fit any more can be used to help right in your community- Tax deduction at the end of the year

3. Donation of equipment or supplies

The Beacon Rescue Mission depends on donations of equipment to continue to operate.

Nearly everything in our Shelter Building has been donated.

With the large number of people that we are able provide help for, with every day ware and tare on equipment around the facilities, things ware out very quickly. Please contact us if you have access to equipment or building materials that you would like to donate.

4. Donation of Services

Any services that you provide can help the Mission in projects that need to be done.

Many dreams of the Mission have been put on hold because we don't have the recourses to complete every phase of the project. If you would consider donating the service that you provide please let the Mission staff know so that we can call upon you when the need is at hand.
